The coating, the Shadow is covered with, quite quick- ly got scratched by the BladeTech holster. The way of disassembling the weapon for cleaning does not differ from modern standards: slide must be moved to the back position, so that the serrations aligns with the serrations on the frame, then, one has to push the connector (which is also the handle to drop the slide) from the right side to the left. I have no experience with other weapons of this type, but it works quite slowly in mine. The rear sight has no additional markings that would help in easy adjustment of accessories under condi- tions of limited vision. It only has a slit in the middle to align it with the front sight (fortunately you may make use of the wide offer of available accessories). The fiber optic rear sight may fall out sometimes (but I have never experienced something like this). That is why tentative users may additionally secure it with a drop of glue (or replace it with e.g. a tritium one). summing up: CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow is a mature and scrupulously designed construction that may be rec- ommended as a duty gun, as well as pitol used for winning practical shooting competitions, or for recre- ation. Even now, when its successor, SP-01 Shadow 2 is here, it is still a gun worth some consideration. Maybe it is not that good for being carried secretly or for personal defense, but this rather depends on the size and preferences of the user. tech specs Caliber: 9x19 mm Mag capacity: 18 rounds Trigger: SA/DA Grip: rubber Total length: 207 mm Barrel length: 114 mm Height: 147 mm Width: 37 mm Weight: 1180 g FIREARMS
