The Forum quickly gained a popularity and became one of the most visited sites in the "Polish tactical net". It is worth mentioning discussion fora which functioned simultaneously then: police IFP, airsoft WMASG and military NFoW. We cannot also forget about the recon. net forum which was established by one of the today's editors of the FRAG OUT! (who was like 18 in that very moment – the mentioned guy – BS). This what distinguished the SPECOPS forum was a pos- sibility of a substantive discussion on the practical, tac- tical and general military topics. From a very beginning it attracted both civilians and professionals from military and law enforcement. In that period, before the Polish op- erations in Iraq and Afghanistan were launched, knowl- edge originated mostly from the translated US field man- uals or materials from the Ranger School courses, which were finished by bunch of Polish officers. A particular element of this service was the only one in that times SPECOPS FM on-line radio, which broadcast- ed, in the SHOUTcast technology, military and military movie related music, quotations from the well-known movies and other bits, in the chaotic, random sequence, 24/7. The SPECOPS FM sruvived from 2005 to 2009. The SPECOPS forum get togethers had taken place once or twice a year, since 2004. They have a form of the tac- tical workshops which was frequently visited by experts in CT with a huge practical knowledge. The workshops were a pretext to exchange experiences and meet face to face with the on-line interlocutors. At that time the SPECOPS come out from a garage and changed it to a space at the last floor of the highest building in Nowy Dwór Gdański, called the "Własow Institute" – for the insiders: "Institute".
