The major problem with ballistic goggles and eyewear has
always been related to the fogging up of lenses, especially in
dynamic tactical situations and variable weather conditions.
Although in some cases the fogging is not a great deal and it
can be easily dealt with by taking the goggles off for a while,
it is impossible to take a break during dangerous situations.
Fogged goggles during firefight may greatly reduce the
accuracy of fire, obstruct the field of vision and decrease
tactical awareness which may lead to tragic consequences.
Manufacturers try to outdo the competitors by seeking for
solutions that would effectively eliminate fogging mainly
by applying various types of chemical coatings or passive
and active methods of ventilation. ESS Influx AVS is another
attempt to solve this problem. We have decided to verify
whether it was efficient enough.
