REPORT Almost 31,000 soldiers from eighteen NATO countries, as well as from five countries from the program Partnership for Peace, took part in Ana- konda-16 and conducted operations on land, in the air and at the Baltic Sea. When it comes to operations at sea, everything was complement- ed by the annual Baltops excercise that in this year did not take place in Poland, except for the episode of an assault on the beach near Ustka. Apart from that location, the troops operated at other training grounds or within urban areas, since episodes included an element of a mech- anized column march through Toruń. What is more, air bases in the whole country served as stations for foreign contingents. The most inter- esting, in every aspect, was the one in Królewo Malborskie, where two Bulgarian MiG-29 fight- ers were based. The goal of the excercise was to integrate national and allied headquarters and elements as a part of the mutual defense oper- ation against hybrid threat. An additional aspect that required verification and checking was the functioning of the system and procedures for performance of tasks as a part of the function of the host country.
