„Harris Hold"
Called after Michael Harris, the practical
shooting pioneer. One of many techniques
in which the light hand supports the shoot-
ing hand by pressing backs of the hands
together.
ADVANTAGES:
Ä Works alike for small and big lights;
Ä With a minimum of practice allows for
quick aligning of the light beam and
the bore axis;
Ä Slightly better weapon stabilization
than in a one-handed grip;
Techniques:
DISADVANTAGES
Ä On shot beam displacement needs re-aligning;
Ä Large manual complication, likely to end-up in sweeping
the light hand with a muzzle or even trigger an accidental
discharge on tightening up;
Ä The light source attracts shot to the shooter's silhouette
(center mass, at torso level).
