Case with electronics have different sizes, depending on the model and manufacturer, but the largest are smaller than a box of cigarettes, while the smallest are like a box of matches. The exception is in case of ear plugs, in which all electronics are placed inside them, including a tiny battery charged from the transport box. A great majority of earplug systems are at least splash-proof, but they usually are waterproof. Weight of the set ranges from about 85 g to about 360 g, but the burden on user's head, so the cable and plugs, weighs no more than 50-60 g. TEP-100 plugs are most certainly the lightest. One plug weighs just FOUR grams. In-ear hearing protection headsets – in my opinion – are one of the best forms of joint ear protection and communication solutions. They are lightweight, small, and work with almost every helmet or headwear, and do not cause sweating. The general disadvantage of such systems: some people just don't like having something in their ear. The second disadvantage – the price – such sets are expensive (even really expensive); they may cost from about $250 to several thousand dollars... If someone does not mind a plug in his or her ear and their wallet is ready for the price, that is most certainly best you can get. HEARING PROTECTION
