DESIGN The Silynx Clarus PRO comes in a neat, grey, polymer carrying case with a twisted lid securing the system against damaging and getting wet – its lid is sealed so you may not worry that moisture will get inside it. Inside you can find a control unit with fixed wires for earplugs, placed in dedicated holder. Under a holder, there is a back-up battery in a dedicated slot. Under the case lid there the user's manual is placed. The whole kit weights about 188 grams, i.e. about two time less than, full size Sordins or Peltors. The Silynx Clarus PRO control unit has a robust H-shaped housing made from aluminum alloy. In a basic version the housing is oxidized, but it is also available in Coyote color and a few hydrodipped camouflage patterns. The control unit has the following dimensions: 42x53x16 mm and with the earplugs, but without batteries inside, it has a weight of 62.5 grams. In its lower part there is an eyelet with cords securing the lid of the battery compartment (twisted and sealed) and a socket for the external devices (secured with rubber plug). In the upper part of the housing there is wire connecting unit the headset. In the lower part housing there is a battery compartment an in the upper one (shorter) – a socket of the external device and a control button secured with rubber. On the rear there is an attachment clip. On the front of the unit, the Silynx logo is embedded. A main wire which connects control unit with the earphones is ~110cm long and 2/3 of it is covered in the protective braid. In the place where the braid ends there is a microphone with a control button (similar to the earphones of mobile phones). From the microphone housing there are two cables coming out, connected with the headset, linked with regulator. www.fragoutmag.com
