so far, cLawGEar has been offering more „combat pants" style, designed as the response to crye Precision. their top stalker Pants, with integrated knee pads, but had a generous cut, huge number of pockets and some bells and whistles, which, in general, made them quite „heavy weight". stalker pants finally got their simplified version named raider, in which some of the solutions were not includ- ed. But, still, those were pants with rather complicated and baggy cut. and so, dur- ing iwa 2016, more simplified and more skin-tight model appeared – operator combat Pants. although it says „combat Pants" in the name, they are more like clothes from Field series, if we are to stick to the analogy to uni- forms by crye Precision. More stream- lined, with less ubercool features but far more universal. Let us now have a closer look at those austrian- swiss designed pants. FABRICS the basic material is the durable and breatha- ble 50/50 nYco (50% nylon 50% cotton) rip-stop fabric, nir treated so clothes "do not shine" in night vision devices. Multicam variant is available in two mate- rial versions – 50/50 NyCo NIr and 65/35 PESCo non-NIr (that is slightly cheaper). the fabric is DWr treated which provides increased resistance to water soaking – of course it won't make the fabric waterproof and degrades over time. Pants are availa- ble in sizes from 44 (XS) to 60 (2XL) and in two length sizes – regular and Long. Inside the pants, areas of knees and the waist, features soft faced polyester lining which minimizes abrasion and improves moisture absorption – usually, those places are heavily covered (duty belt and knee pads) which may create "hot spots". the other features includes yKK zippers, as well as high-qual- ity triple stitches and bartacks in the areas where the in- creased durability is required. CLAWGEAr operator Combat Pants comes in solid colors (rAL7013 olive- Green, black, Navy, Coyote) and in camouflage patterns (Multicam, German 5-color Flecktarn, French CCE Woodland). www.fragoutmag.com
