Despite intense training, during performance of tasks
in Estonia, the Mechanized Brigade "Wielkopolska"
managed to commemorate the anniversary of
death of Paweł Poświat, who died during the 9th
Deployment of the Polish Military Contingent in
Afghanistan. Soldiers organized the third soccer
memorial called with the name of their
fallen comrade. Six teams took part in
the competition and, apart from the
best team, the best goalkeeper and
the best striker were chosen.
Later on, an assembly was organized
in the memory of Sgt. Paweł Poświat,
which was also attended by the am-
bassador of the Republic of Poland
for the Republic of Estonia, His
Excellency Robert Filipczak and the
attaché, Col. Ryszard Zając. Guests
thanked soldiers for their presence
in Estonia and wished them suc-
cesses in further training.
