The hull of the robot has also been changed – it is narrower (slightly; by 1-2 cm, but in some situations it may be of great importance), battery caps have become fully waterproof, while the electronics of the robot have been redesigned to improve reliability. cBrn AcceSSorIeS The offer of PIAP has also been expanded with new CBRN accessories for robots – they extend and complement the current offer, significantly increasing the possibility to detect contamination by the robot. PIAP BIo-Vortex UThis device is to take samples of and store the surrounding air. Collection of air takes place through a specially profiled inlet duct with a filter. Sucked air goes to a conical vessel in which it is put into circular motion. During that operation, thanks to centrifugal force, contamination of size from 1um are released from air to liquid. After the cycle of sampling and discharge is finished, a water sample with contamination discharged from air is transferred to a sample storage contained by a peristaltic pump. The container with a tightly closed sample may be taken with a robot's manipulator grapple and handed over for further analysis e.g. at a labo - ratory. The device also has the possibility to deliver the taken sample to an optionally attached external analyzed placed in the robot. The device is stored, charged (non-connect charging), and transported in a specially designed transport crate. ModulAr lIquId SAMPler A modular liquid sampler is used to collect and store liquid samples. Samples taken by the device are stored in several types of containers. Then, containers are handed over for laboratory analysis. The base con- sists of a peristaltic pump. WeAther StAtIon That device allows performing meteorological measure- ments within the scope of strength and direction of wind, precipitation, pressure, and humidity in the area of robot's operation. Information from the weather sensor is trans- mitted in real time to the console of the operator. The de- vice may be used remotely or manually, via a touchscreen. Information sent to the weather station allows assessing the direction and range within which contamination will expand. That is of significant meaning during rescue operations. ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES
