www.fragoutmag.com Three position gas regulator is accessible through the cut-out in the handguard, and can be set by either car- tridge or attached tool (held inside the pistol grip), which also enables to separate the handguard from the upper receiver. The regulator has got three settings: for normal shooting, for shooting with suppressor using subsonic ammunition and for shooting with suppressor and stand- ard ammunition. The new, unfortunately not exchangeable, trigger guard protects the trigger – which is also new, and even its blade has got the lightening holes. The standard trigger has an almost Mil-Spec feel: about 6 lbs, single-stage, with well-defined breaking point and that coveted 'glass rod' feel to it. Of course the FCG is exchangeable as a sin- gle unit, and any drop-in trigger group that the user pre- fers can be substituted in a breeze. The PWS MK1 MOD2 has BCM pistol grip and stock by default. Both are decent products, and more than a match for starters, but they are of course also easily user-ex- changeable. The stock is sliding along the new-design T7075 aluminum buffer tube, hard-anodized in black. The buffer tube mount has a QD sling mount, with two addi- tional ones either side of the butt-stock rear. So, how was the MK1 MOD2 shooting? Much like the predecessor – smoothly, ergonomically (especially for the southpaws), no jams at all. Of course we didn't have the opportunity to shoot it enough to issue any binding judgments right now, but basing on what we have experi- enced so far – it's definitely doing well. Now let us get the shortie and pump much more lead through it before we give it a final seal of approval.
