will be conducted on the basis of an individual contract, after the assessment of the condition of each of tanks (resulting calculation of costs) and financing from the budget estimate for the operation of all types of tracked and wheeled vehicles of the Armed Forces. The upgrade contract was awarded for total value of c.a. 575 million USD (c.a.545 million EUR). That amount includes, i.a. building of a prototype and conducting researches, a serial upgrade of tanks and a military training subsystem, as well as a logistics and training package. The planned distribution of works between partners from both countries is to allow participation of domestic companies that would exceed 50% of the contract value. According to revealed information, the final modernization contract includes: assembly of outer armor of the turret and internal multi-layered spall liner; replacement of the WNA-H22 electro-hydraulic guidance and armament stabilization system with electricE-WNA; adjustments of 120 mm guns to new types of ammunition, i.e. DM63 KE rounds and DM11 MPHE rounds (or their Polish alternatives, if they are of similar performance), introduction of the ACM programmable fuses, modifications of the fire control system, modernization of the gun (replacement of the muzzle brake, replacement of hydraulic resistors with pneumatic devices, mounting a recoil indicator) and introduction of a container for shell bottoms and an electronic gun firing system; modernization of the EMES-15A1 gunner's sight with KLW-1 Asteria thermal camera or its modules replacing of the PERI-R17A3L4CP commander's sight with KLW-1 Asteria thermal camera or its modules; assembly of the KDN-1T Nyks day-night rear-view camera for the driver; assembly of the CCMS commander's display panel and modernization of the RPP control unit that allows streaming the image from EMES-15A1 or PERI- vehicles
