T h e h i g h - a l t i t u d e w o r A zip line ride in the Kłodzko Fortress, climbing on the nearly vertical dam wall in Zagórze Śląskie and final rappel down in the Wilczki waterfall were only a part of the attractions prepared for the participants of the 9th edition of the high-altitude workshops by the instructors of the 22nd Carpathian mountain infantry battalion from Kłodzko, southern Poland, led by WO1 Maciej Kubik – battalion chief of training. An intensive workshop was held between 12-16 October 2016 in beautiful and charming hill area of Kłodzko Valley in south-west Poland, near the borders of Czech Republic and Germany. Several teams, which represent the Polish Armed Forces, Police, Border Guards, ABW (Internal Security Agency), BOR (Government Protection Bureau), Customs Service, Prison Service, as well as the civilian SAR and Volunteer Water Rescue Service. Several dozens of people in one place and almost all of them dead keen on the ropes and lines – this whole event in advance convicted to a positive atmosphere, was generally in fact not a course, but a perfect place for exchanging experiences and feedback. www.fragoutmag.com
