first impression that Ranger is just an "off-road-like" 4x4 truck with a large trunk is misleading. But I will get to that in a minute. GUTS The heart of Ford Ranger Wildtrak is a tough, five-cyl- inder 3.2-liter Diesel engine with 200 HP. The torque might tear asphalt off at intersections: 470 Nm within the range of 1500–2750 rpm. It's impressive. Especially when driving off the road or when accelerating – the power capacity is astonishing. Cons? The car is loud – in general, at 3000 rpm it could compete with a jet in take-off. Despite fears, Ranger does not consume that much of fuel – on the road, at an average speed of about 120 km/h, I managed to maintain fuel consumption at 10.5 l/100 km. There is no reason to go faster – this car has aerodynamics of a bus (height of 180 cm), so a whirlwind appears in the tank. Besides, a pick-up truck is not a racing car... The vehicle is equipped with a set of systems that in- crease comfort and safety. One of the more interesting ones is the cruise control that adjusts speed to road conditions (de facto, for the traffic), as well as the belt assistant, which really works. INSIDE The interior of the passenger cab is spacious – there is a lot of room for maximum five people (but in that case, it is not that comfortable). However, people sitting in the back must get used to the slightly lower comfort of travelling – that is the typical vice of pick-up trucks. Although the cab is neat and practical, the quality of plastic elements is in large contrast with the leather and elegant orange trims. Plastic elements are durable – since it is a car for work – and must continuously bear dirt and hits, so they are really necessary in the vehicles
