On 21 October 2016, the Polish Ministry of Defense finished the first stage of tender for the
procurement of VIP passenger planes fleet. That results from i.a. expiry of the deadline for
submitting bids for two small and three medium-sized aircraft. The decisions made in October
indeed started the process of restoring the potential that was lost in 2010 after disbanding the
36th Special Aviation Transport Regiment.
