The agreement was signed by the head of the Armaments Inspectorate, brig. gen. Adam Duda, PhD, by Bernard Cichocki, President of the Board and the General Director of HSW S.A., and by Bartłomiej Zając, Member of the Board and Development Director at HSW S.A. The event also involved participation of Prime Minister Beata Szydło, Antoni Macierewicz, Minister of National Defence, the ambassador of South Korea in Poland, representatives of Hanwha Techwin, and the board of managers of PGZ S.A., the main shareholder of HSW S.A., including Arkadiusz Siwko, PGZ's President, and Maciej Lew-Mirski, Member of the Board. Under this agreement, HSW is to supply 96 self-propelled Krab gun-howitzers on tracked carriers, 12 command-staff vehicles, 32 tracked command-post vehicles, 24 wheeled ammunition supply vehicles, and four wheeled artillery armament repair vehicles. The Polish Armed Forces will be provided with artillery modules with a guarantee maintenance package and a regular stock of spares and consumables. DelIverIes The deliveries of the four battalions of Krab howitzers ordered last year will start in 2018 and end in 2024. After the contract is delivered in full, the sub-units of the Polish Land Forces artillery are to have 120 Krabs distributed among five artillery battalions. According to the head of the Armaments Inspectorate, three of these battalions are to be assigned to artillery regiments, and the remaining two – to armored brigades (10th Armored Cavalry Brigade and 34th Armored Cavalry Brigade). Also, license-based production of K9 carriers in Poland should begin in the years to come. Access to a complete technical documentation of the vehicle, and arrangement of the necessary production line should enable our domestic industry to produce a contemporary tracked chassis, not only for the needs of Regina program.
