The drive unit is based on an mt 881 Ka-500 water-cooled diesel engine of 750 kW (1,000 hp) combined with an automatic AtDX1100-5A3 transmission, and the power is transmitted to drive wheels through a torque converter system. The suspension system includes six pairs of wheels suspended on hydro-pneumatic oscillating elements; the tracks are suspended by three track-return rollers on both sides. The Krab has been designed for a crew of five: a commander, a gunner, two loaders, and a driver. Except for the gun-howitzers, a Regina artillery module includes command-staff vehicles and command-post vehicles with WB Electronics S.A C4 system. The vehicles are based on LPG (EN: Light Tracked Chassis) armored vehicles and feature MT-LB (EN: Light Multipurpose Tracked Personnel Carrier) sub-assemblies. The LPG has mtu 6v199te20 diesel engine of 260 kW (352 hp) with a LSG- 1000 automatic transmission. It comes with seven pairs of wheels suspended on torsion bars. The wDsz (en: csv) is designed for a five men crew, and the wD (en: cpv) – for four men crew. Regina's automated command and control information system (ACCIS) is to take advantage of information provided from typical observation points equipped with modern observation equipment, artillery radar reconnaissance systems, e.g. Liwiec, bAr weather stations, and uAvs, e.g. mini uAvs (like the Fly Eye) or tactical- class UAVs (such as the E-310). The module is also to feature artillery reconnaissance vehicles with special equipment designed to detect and track targets and to transmit data of target coordinates to the battalion's ACCIS. The logistic support includes ammunition supply vehicles on an 8x8 p662D.43 Jelcz truck with type 146 armored cabin, a flat- rack hooklift system and container ammunition pallets, as well as an artillery armament repair vehicle on a 6x6 p662D.35 Jelcz truck with Type 144 armored cabin and a workshop container. The former has Iveco Cursor 13 6-cylinder diesel engine of 392 kW (535 hp) with a ZF 16 S2220TO transmission; the vehicle is able to transport six pallets with 16 projectiles and propellants each. The latter comes with an Iveco Cursor 8 engine of 259 kW (362 hp) with a ZF 16 S2220TO transmission; the workshop is placed in a 20' Type 1C modular workshop container with a self-levelling container lifting system (SUPK) based on hydraulic supports, enabling quick unloading and loading of the container. each battalion of the regina artillery will have 24 Krabs (three batteries of two platoons with four gun-howitzers each), two csvs (battalion commander, the chief of staff of the battalion), eight cpvs (battery commanders, platoon commanders), six Asvs, and one AArv at their disposal. vehicles
