Barrett M107A1 comes with all new bolt carri- er group which has been designed bottom up. It is plated with advanced nickel-teflon ultra-hard coatings for reduced maintenance and improved service life and it rides on a hardened steel an- ti-wear strip for added durability located in upper receiver. Plating increases lubricity, it is corro- sion-resistant and greatly improves cleaning. The charging handle is located on the right sight of the rifle. Two-stage trigger and aluminum recoil buf- fer system are placed in the steel lower receiver. Safety switch is located on the left of the lower. www.fragoutmag.com When compared to classic Model 82A1, the lat- est M107A1 has weight cut by over two kilograms (5 lbs) without loosing the quality, stability or rug- gedness. The precision and accuracy comes main- ly from the monolithic aluminum-alloy upper re- ceiver and handguard with integrated 457 mm (18") long 27MOA MIL-STD- 1913/STANAG 2324 (NATO Accessory Rail) accessory and optics mounting rail on top. Foldable backup iron sights were integrated in the both ends of the mounting rail. The 27MOA rail allows to mount powerful optical sights (in the pictures, the rifle has Leupold Mark 4.5-14x50mm Scope with Barrett Ultra High Rings and Barrett Optical Ranging System) with thermal or night vision clip-on sights attached and additional laser pointers or laser range finders. The M107A1 can be delivered with 20" (508 mm) or 29" (737 mm) chrome-lined fluted barrels with extremely efficient steel four-port cylindrical muz- zle brake engineered to work seamlessly with a quick-attach Barrett QDL Suppressor. Barrel twist rate is 1 turn in 15" (38.1 cm). For transport purpos- es, after disassembly of lower and upper receivers, the barrel can be slided into and secured in the handguard to shorten the overall length of the rifle for more compact package. The sniper rifle is fed from ten rounds box magazines. Barrett M107A1 comes with lightweight titanium and polymer QD adjustable bipod and modular rear hand grip mounted on M1913 rail that accepts lightweight removable monopod. On the top of stock integrated with the upper receiver, there is a thermal-guard cheek piece which protects the user's face from extreme heat or cold. The stock has a thick ultra absorbent Sorbothane rubber re- coil pad.
