"the BranD" – that is how people involved in the project humbly call their work. The story began in the USA in 2004 when a group of special forces vets, who chewed dip and spilled blood in GWOT, founded a lifestyle brand for true warriors. Seriously, if you look at the overall style of the PHU, its founders, models in the photos promoting the brand, or patterns, the story could have as well started somewhere in Scandinavia, where we could find bearded tough guys who take the full benefit from their past, worshiping the philosophy of „sons of Odin", or just Vikings that ran the reign of terror in the medieval Europe. The heart of Pipe Hitters Union beats at its firm and calm rhythm in Austin, Texas, where the weapon culture and right to own and carry guns is as natural as breathing. It is the place where PHU was established as informal and active form of manifesting the philosophy based on the way of the warrior, gathering all the people who follow such a path. Initially, "The Brand" was promoted in MIL/LE circles. However, after some time, it started not only to be aimed at people related to military, but also at those who seek for adrenaline and emotions in extreme sports. One of the basic reasons for the success of The Pipe Hitters Union are the high-quality graphic designs that refer to modern warriors (and other motifs), which are on T-shirts, sweatshirts and caps.
