Outdoor companies have naturally adjusted their of- fer to the needs of the growing demand of the tacti- cal community. Outdoor Research, Under Armour, or Arc'teryx are the most famous brands that nowadays have their own lines of tactical clothing. The tactical world extends on the outdoor market and vice versa. This natural process was initiated by the users themselves who, due to the character of their work, searched for more convenient and durable clothes that could be also used at work. What is more, they also expanded their set of work- ing clothes with clothing and accessories that proved to be valuable off-duty. Manufacturers quickly responded to that demand. The majority of people who carry guns also constantly train, run, hike or do martial arts. Usually, their physical ac- tivity and sport is as a way of life so the service is very often just a result of their interests. For the last several months, I have the opportunity to test the new product by SYMBO brand and expressed my opin- ion on required changes. The product is a response to the growing demand for concealed carry clothes or, being less specific, for everyday clothes that may also be used to carry guns. The SYMBO brand started with technical sport clothing, so it was not actually very natural for them to enter new mar- ket niche - intended for officers, soldiers, as well as owners and enthusiasts of guns. Since the company had also back- ground so-called streetwear fashion, they decided to focus on everyday and sport clothes instead of uniforms and ubertactical combat clothing for mall ninjas. With the gen- eral assumption that their customer will be people who carry gunson a daily basis, they decided to reconstruct the very popular everyday garment, i.e. tracksuits but adjusted to very specific requirements. Track suit trousers and/or a hoodie are definitely very uni- versal and many people wear such clothes on the street, especially in Europe. It is comfortable, practical by design, but everything can be improved to better serve its tasks. www.fragoutmag.com
