has been connected with a concept of minimization of the results of the surprise effect, which accompanies a sudden attack, while considering a fact of continues attacks by the determined enemy. The techniques developed by Kasper have been aggressive and oriented towards eliminating the opponent as quickly as possible, with as low as possible loses in terms of one's own health. Twenty years of the researches over a techniques in knife combat has had a culminating point in designing of a series of the combat knives – the Kasper Fighting Knives, which final shape has been developed by Al Polkowski. The key importance for the design was a handle, which guarantees an easy handling and a certain grip. According to the Kni-Com rules, convenience and a wide spectrum of the possibilities of carrying the knife have been also of importance. On the basis of the Kasper's drawing the knife maker has made a few pieces in the different sizes. The smallest of them has been used for the serial manufacturing by CRKT. CRKT Companion Companion has been introduced to the market in a few variants - smooth or serrated blade (there was also blackened blade available). Each knife came with two sheaths, pretty uncommon thing, especially that Companion was a budget line knife. Unfortunately, a low price has been reflected in the used materials.
