The first unit with Krab gun-howitzers was supposed to obtain receive additional two full-production Krabs by the end of March 2017, which was to make it possible to initiate the training as part of self-propelled artillery battery and platoon, and according to the information provided by the Management of the Missile and Artillery Forces, 10 additional gun-howitzers with new command vehicles and logistic support vehicles were to be supplied in April. This way, a battalion of self-propelled artillery will be able to commence a team-building training. The regiment's command, according to the current plans, should have a complete battalion at its disposal by the end of June 2017. According to the final part of agreement for the purchase of an implementation Regina artillery module with Krab gun- howitzers, the main contractor of the program, HSW S.A., is obliged to provide the armed forces with the first complete battalion composed of 24 Krabs and 18 supporting vehicles by August 2017. Representatives of the regiment and of the Management of the Missile and Artillery Forces claim that the regiment commander should have a complete battalion at their disposal in June already, with the battalion consisting of three batteries and composed of a total of 24 Krabs, three commanding vehicles, eight command vehicles, six ASV, and an AARV. The battalion module will also feature an artillery reconnaissance system composed of a Liwiec radar (the first modernized Liwiec radar is to be delivered this year, with the remaining ones - by the end of 2019), FlyEye mini-class UAS (one of the three sets at the disposal of the Missile and Artillery Forces), and a Bar weather station (one set; at present, Polish artillery have around such stations).
