REVISION
During the Enforce Tac took place an unofficial unveiling of Revision
Caiman™ Head System, latest headborne protection system. Officially
it was presented for the first time during SOFIC in Tampa, Florida in May
2017. Caiman™ Head System was developedas a response for USSOCOM
Family of Tactical Headborne Systems (FTHS) Program which main goal
is to select new ballistic and bump helmets (with additional accessories)
for SOF. Revision has bump Caiman™ Carbon with reinforced carbon fiber
shell and bullet resistant Caiman™ Carbon. Accordingly to FTHS require-
ments, the Carbon helmet can be up-armored with additional ballistic
protective appliques mounted to industrial-grade Velcro on the shell. The
weight and level of protection can be adjusted to the mission require-
ments by adding or removing the appliques if necessary.
