FROG.PRO Italians are well known for their fashionable clothing designs. Those guys know their job. The Italian FROG.PRO tactical gear is like an Italian- designed suit in the tactical world. Streamlined, custom and well-made with high attention to every detail. The FROG.PRO is more like custom shop than a full-scale manufacturer and that's why there are many speci- fic and custom products such as ankle-mounted micro first aid kit dedi- cated for low-profile/covert operations or gear for carrying fragile optics. One of the most interesting products in the offer is LC-Hagakure scalable modular plate carrier, with modular back panels and cummerbunds (with kangaroo style pockets). The main fabric for the tactical gear is laser-cut Cordura laminate with FROG.PRO specific cuts in rectangular shape for vertical and horizontal attachment of the pouches or pockets. L3/INSIGHT IEA MIL Optics, the German distributor of L-3 showed a wide array of the systems from this US company but one of the most interesting pie- ces was the latest laser pointer/IR illuminator combo – the NGAL (Next-Generation Aiming Laser) – developed as a replacement for legacy AN/PEQ-15/ATPIAL series. The device has high-resistant polymer case, compact size and minimum weight (136 grams with single CR123 battery). NGAL, with two power settings) has an integrated visible laser pointer (4,0mW or 65 mW), IR laser pointer (0,6 mW or 25 mW) and IR illuminator (3,0 mW or 80 mW). RHEINMETALL Another tiny sighting device is Rheinmetall VarioRay LowProfile, an addition to VarioRay line of sighting devices. The latest variant has two laser pointers (Red or Green visible and Infra-Red) plus IR illuminator enclosed in the lightweight metal case. The 500-lumens flashlight module can be attached on the side of the VarioRay. The weight of this fully-sealed device (without flashlight module) is just 150 grams and it is 30 meters waterproof (66 feet). Even the remote cable is waterproof and sealed. www.fragoutmag.com
