turned out to be a final nail to coffin – after several hours from a begin- ning of the struggles the first per- sons have started to drop out. The Day One have been finished very quickly and at 10:30 PM and participants were ordered to sleep. The have been sleeping – as al- ways – rather watchfully, being worried about the night surprises. On the Day Two, the struggles have started from the activities conducted at the Jaworze and shooting range with the ZM Tarnow Tor and Alex sniper rifles. The train- ing has been combined with a test of subduing emotions and memorizing graphics and codes. Then Armageddon has taken place – water part. The group very quickly shrunk to 37 persons and it has been probable the fastest elimination stage. Simply, all who cannot swim or "do not feel the water" and have coped with swimming averagely have dropped out. The test has been apparently simple and has consisted in maintaining a six-pack of water bottles (6x1.5 liter) throughout 30 sec- onds above the water, but the lifeguards have had to inter- vene every now and again, and the group of the persons giving back the bands has grown very quickly. At the end of the day, a cod which should be memorized has extended to 20 characters, and apart from it there have been added the destinations and azimuths. The participants have been also accompanied a piece of Adam Asnyk's poem, which has been a message of SELEKCJA 2017 and it has been quickly memorized. The next days has been fulfilled with the activities on the airport apron and shooting, with 7.62 mm x 39 and 5.56 mm x 45 CZ Bren 2 assault rifles and the 9 mm x 19 Scorpion EVO. SMG The tasks have been executed while using the Rosomak IFV from 12th Mechanized Brigade, when during the variable efficiency interval has been checked concentration and memory, as well as reactions to the external factors. On the subsequent day, the activ- ities involving the Mi -17 helicopter have been held. They have constituted in a landing operation into the water and realizing the tasks in a condition of the large excess post-exercise oxygen consumption. This year the weather has not been spoiling the partici- pants – the nights have been cold, and the frequent pre- cipitations has caused a great loss of energy. The MRE's from Arpol and C-Borg have worked successfully, as well as the Energizer illumination. As usual, the participants and the instructors have been equipped by Helikon, and Jaworowy Zdrój has secured water. At the beginning of the event, the JWK has opened its draft and stand, and its instructors together with the Military Police Special Unit have been all the time present at the SELEKCJA. The SELEKCJA 2017 has been completed by seven par- ticipant including one lady (10th in the history of the SELEKCJA). EVENT
