Biały, arktyczny pokrowiec maskujący. Pokrowiec maskujący w kamuflażu woodland. CONCLuSIONS ALICE field packs were produced for more than 30 years. The last time they were used on a large scale was GWOT and Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. On that time, they were replaced by more modern design, but they were kept in storage of different branches of US Armed Forces. If you are going to buy ALICE pack, please be aware that usually packs you will find in surplus stores will be a complete mix of parts. It results from two things. First of all, ALICE packs were issued and returned as loose pats. It was irrelevant, whether the parts were new or old types - they just had to be in working condition. Second of all, packs were usually transported outside the vehicles, so they were exposed to wear and tear so many parts had to be replaced. PX stores also gave access to improved commercial parts, that is why sometimes such parts can be found together with issued packs. The most popular commercial replacement was green shoulder harness (same design as final version in Woodland), which were never officially issued. I hope this article will help you pick the elements of ALICE packs accurately to a particular historical period and, as a result, help you correctly assess the value of parts. www.fragoutmag.com
