The European RPAS (Remotely Piloted
Aircraft System). The program is a joint
effort of – except for Leonardo Aircraft
Division, Airbus, and Dassault – military
working groups from France, Italy, Spain,
and Germany. The project, coordinated by
Europe's OCCAR (Organisation conjointe
de coopération en matière d'armement),
aims to develop a next-generation recce/
surveillance UAV by 2023.
TAI presented also an armed MALE class Anka UAV – it has been shown featuring MAM-L
and Cirit missiles. The TAI announced that the delivery of 10 Anka-S systems for local armed
forces would be completed by the end of 2018, and additional four sets were purchased by
the Turkish Ministry of the Internal Affairs.
