RABBIT'S POV Since I had a choice, I've decided to take the Combat cummerbund and Kangaroo flap configuration. First I wanted the SPEED M4 flap, but these are not available in Woodland camouflage pattern. As a bonus, I've got a MOLLE flap too. The GPC is well-made, I could compare it to the legacy Crye Precision JPC and qu- ality is on par (or even better). Maybe I bit too much of embroidery, but finally most of it is covered under the pockets and pouches. My load out is more than simple – just the GPC, plus sometimes hydro bladder or pocket for a dip. If GTG will ever introduce a small pack and pockets in Woodland camouflage, I will definitely add something. Now, the config is three magazines plus hydration. And dip, sometimes. It feels comfortable, but after longer use I think that comfort pads could be a good choice. The GPC set up – attachment of cummerbund, front flap, size adjustment are pret- ty easy. Basically, no problems besides some troubles with height adjustment. Donning and doffing – easy, but strongly recommended donning the GPC without magazines in the pockets. The flap is easier to pick up without them. During move, the cummerbund is flexible and works with your body so you don't feel discomfort. In the summer, the full-featured Combat cummerbund traps the heat inside a little bit, but I was fully aware of that. I haven't been using the integra- ted mesh pockets as I didn't have anything flat and waterproof what could fit inside. Kangaroo front flap – works well and keep the magazines securely. For additional safety, the shock cord pull-tabs can be used. Easy for drawing the magazine, but there are problems with inserting the magazine. In the top edge of the pocket, there is a piece of Velcro to secure the empty flat (what for?) and make the front com- pletely flat, but it keeps closing the pocket just after drawing the magazine. I would remove that Velcro. MOLLE front flap – haven't been using it as I didn't have Woodland pockets. If GTG will send me some, I will gladly try this configuration. After few months of use there are no signs of it. Some dirt and stains but not rips or broken threads. The only thing which failed is metal snap keeping the front flap. Quick summary – really well-made JPC-style plate carrier with wide customization capabilities. A nice piece of kit. www.fragoutmag.com
