SHASH Just after its arrival, the Tasmanian Tiger Tac Modular pack 30 Vent became my EDC pack of choice. Basically, I have used it every day, except the time I need to wear a suit or need something bigger. the 30 liters capacity is optimal for me, when I have 11" laptop with accessories, rain jacket or some insulation, shooting range stuff/biking stuff with U-lock/short hiking gear depending on the day or purpose, or as a carry on luggage in budget airlines. I've been using it from spring to winter in city, during Balkans car trip in the middle of summer 2017 (very hot summer, just to mention it) and I have to confirm that the tasmanian tiger's suspension systems works pretty well and the air flow is not a lie. If you are using the tac M o d u l a r Pack 30 Vent, remember to tighten the adjustment straps of the frame rods – they will bend and not break, but create bigger ventilation tunnel. the weight of the empty tasmanian tiger tac Modular Pack 30 Vent is less than 1.5 kilogram, not much for durable pack with quite complex suspension system and frame. the 10 kilograms load is maximum comfortable carried weight in my humble opinion. Pack is comfortable and streamlined, basically I had no problems during use, except the shoulder straps which sometimes tend to flip around. Oh, and I managed to make a hole in the t-sQUArE rIp fabric (I don't know how…), but it is not enlarging since that time. I found three flaws in the pack – the adjustable strap in waist belt is waaaay too long (fat guy in thick down jacket will still have some strap to roll down) and the design of the internal pocket in the flap. If you forget to close the zipper, everything will spill out to the main compartment or outside of the pack (depending on when…). this could be solved with zipper placed on the other side. the side pockets are other problem – their upper edge should feature a piece of elastic band, oth- erwise sometimes the items carried may fall out. side pockets work with U-lock for your bike, but the 1.5 liter bottle of water may easily jump out when running or riding on the bumpy road. there were some initial con- cerns of friends about the hydration tube slits design that pack with leak in this area. The slits will not leak, that's confirmed, but in pouring rain the flap of main complement got soaked… I needed to apply a good layer of DWR spray there to fix this. I think TT should choose fabric with thicker pU coating there. Except those small flaws, the tt tac Modular pack 30 Vent works brilliant as an EDC pack, especially in hot environment, and knowing tasmanian tiger quality, it will last for years. equipment
