THUS SPOKE SHASH The GPC plate carrier is following the current trend, where the designers try to keep the mini- mum size and weight of the product, but keeping the traditional way and fabrics without fancy laser cut laminates. I've put my dirty hands on Multicam GPC with ELASTIC M4 cu- mmerbund and SPEED M4 front flap with triple M4 magazine pouch similar to my favorite Blue Force Gear Ten-Speeds. The GPC is a minimalist approach so you need to keep in mind that the load out must be kept that way. Finally, I have been running GPC with three magazines in the front, CAT TQ stashed in cum- merbund pockets (doesn't work, CAT can fall out), radio pocket, GP/IFAK pocket and the hydro pocket on the back. The we- ight distribution over my shoulders was pretty good, but I think I should invest a bit into shoulder pads or… gym. The method of height adjustments is not quick and fast, but let's be honest – how often you need to adjust the height of your plate carrier? Once or twice in a year? During the test period I've decided not to use the ELASTIC M4 cummerbund integrated pockets – this way of carrying so many magazines does not work for me, but if someone needs the magazines on the sides (e.g. his front pa- nel estate is taken with something necessary), it will meet the requirements. I am considering going with the Skeleton or Com- bat version, fortunately the replacement is pretty easy. The front flap with magazine pockets works like a charm. Drawing magazines is fast and easy. Stowing magazine back inside, well that's the different story, but that was never a pur- pose for it. One thing I could suggest to GTG is incorporation of a small flat admin panel behind the top front webbing to keep small notepad, Sharpie and maybe some tiny lightsticks. The GPC looks rock solid (no flaws, no bad stitches, etc.) and its built from durable fabrics. There is one eye-catching features, manufacturer's embroidery is everywhere: logo, MADE IN POLAND, size, the name of the products. No tags but embroidery. For sure something different and unusual. www.fragoutmag.com
