from top to bottom, the main compartment has a taper, narrowing at the bottom. this clam-shell style opening is similar to the one used in Arc'teryx LEAF Khard/Assault packs. the additional feature is second access with the half-moon zipper in bottom. the main compartment can be split in two independent compartments if necessary – the foldable separator is stowed inside. An interior of the pack is another well-thought part. on the sides of the main compartment there are three zippered pockets in total. two zippered mesh pockets are on the right side and one longer solid nylon pocket is on the left. What is more, the back part was fully lined with Velcro loop with additional laser cut MoLLE loops for attachment of every kind of pocket or pouch you need (the tac Modular pack 30 Vent requires after-mar- ket pockets, but the standard Modular Pack 30 comes with a really nice suite of them). there is also a pocket in the back, which could be used to keep the 70 oz. hydra- tion bladder, but its main purpose is to cover a profiled polymer frame sheet which works as back stiffener. the sheet has circle-shaped weight-saving cuts which im- prove the ventilation. the hydration bladder tube can be routed outside through the elastic rubber slits in the sides of the main compartment or through short two-way zipper just above the shoulders pads. A bladder can be also placed inside the main compartment, attached to the webbing loop or plastic hanger. equipment
