X Vent Zero Plus & Suspension Last but not least, the shoulder straps and suspen- sion of the tac Modular pack 30 Vent. Might look pretty simple and not very common in tactical gear. some of our readers are familiar with similar solu- tions used by some outdoor brands in their hiking and cycling packs. this is exactly where this one comes from. The simple frame is based around X-crossed fi- berglass rods which are bent and push the main compartment away from the user's back. this creates the free space and allows for air flow. If you have ever don the pack on your sweaty back (especially in wintertime), you will ap- preciate this solution. Another two fiberglass rods are pushing away the simple waist belt with padded removable "side wings" working as hip pads. please see the drawing for more details. the only parts in direct contact with user's body is the waist belt and the padded shoulder straps. the straps are anatomically shaped (think flattened s-letter shape) and lined with mesh for moisture wicking and ventila- tion. they are fully adjustable. shoulders straps are connected with adjustable sternum strap (which can be removed or placed in other position). the straps also feature a small patch of hypalon fabric with o-shaped hole which can be utilized as a small D-ring. there is also a carrying handle sewn in above the shoulder pads. tasmanian tiger tac Modular pack 30 Vent is current- ly available in solid Black, gray Carbon and green-brown "patchwork" style. the weight of pack is around 1450 grams (empty) or 3.19 lbs. equipment
