The Frag Out! Magazine got Viper P4 High Cut for a review and the detailed description will apply to this particular variant. The shell lacks any kind of front brow to achieve a maximum field of view and it is profiled in the back, so it won't collide with the high collars of pro- tective vests or the high-capacity backpacks. In the ear region, where there are headset cut-outs, the shell is wider to accommodate head- sets. The edge of the shell is secured with wide rubber band. The Revision Military Viper P4 helmets meet and exceed ballistic per- formance requirements specified in US Army ACH Helmet CO/PD-05- 04:2007 (17 gr FSP V50 > 2400fps/730 m/s) and are also capable to withstand the US NIJ Level IIIA threats. It should be highlighted that Vipers exceeds US Army standards for fragmentation and resistance to penetration such as multiple (five shots) shots with 124 gr 9 mm FMJ bullet @ 427 m/s. The back-face deformation is less than 25 mm (less than one inch). Helmets shells also compliant with blunt impact pro- tection for 10.0 feet per second impacts and compression resistance deformations requirements in accordance with AR/PD 14-01. Revision Military Viper P4 helmets are available in S-XL sizes and in four color variants (Black, Foliage Green, Olive Drab and Tan 499). The complete Viper P4 High Cut helmet in Large, with side rails and front mount weights 1367 grams. BALLISTIC SHIELDS
