www.fragoutmag.com Later than it was initially announced by manufacturer (first rumors were that it will happen in April/May, but every- thing was postponed), the rifles sho- uld become available commercially. We have to admit that FB Radom, has done a tremendous job with adapting a military rifle for the civilian market in just four months after armed force issued them! The first batch will con- sist of 500 pieces and first hundred will be a limited, 100th anniversary of Polish Independence Edition, with ad- ditional certificate and some accesso- ries in the package. We were lucky to purchase #00071 rifle from FB Radom before the official launch. GROT S16 FB-M1 comes with bunch of kit: folded iron sights, M-LOK hand guard with three modular MIL-STD-1913 rails segments, translucent green 30 round magazine, all factory vacum-wrapped for protection against corrosion. Everything comes neatly packed in the polymer case, together with cle- aning kit, manual and warranty papers. The main difference between select-fire GROT C16 and sport GROT S16 is the fire control group. Sorry guys, semi-automa- tic only. The selector switch is in 90 degree short throw con- figuration (the military assault rifle has 45 degree throw) as in the most of the AR-15 style rifles. The switch is large and fully ambidextrous, and according to the manual, it is compatible with Hera Arms parts, so it can be easily changed. For sure, we will check if the rifle works with selector switches from other companies, and we will let you know what's the outco- me. The resistance of the switch can be adjusted by user and it does not require disassembly of the gun. In the early demo versions, the engraved icons on the fire control were painted (white for Safe and red for single), but company abandoned that idea.
