Currently we are using GROT with EOTech EXPS-3 holosight paired with G.33 magnifier. There are plans to replace it with some 1-6x scope which would allow for more precision shooting with the 16" barrel. rifle We already checked the rifle with Vortex Spitfire 3X Prism scope and even without zeroing, we had 50 mm group on the 100 meters distance. Supported prone position. With the proper sight we will check the accuracy on the longer distances. During the dynamic shooting to paper and metal targets (up to 100 meters), there were no problems with the accuracy . The manufacturer announced that shorter barrels should be available in the end of 2018. Iron sights which come with the rifle are just enough. Not great in the terms of the economic, think about them as a really cheap ones, good for starters. In opened or locked position, these are only secured with the spring. There is no positive lock which would prevent them against accidental locking or opening. If you want to re- move them and replace with something else, be prepared for a struggle. And get some bet- ter tools as the amount of the loclite put on the screws is impressive. We used the iron sights just once and will use in the future to re-zero the rifle to 100 meters (now it was zeroed to 300 meters). The group was about 100 mm. Soon we will try to do some precision shooting. Disassembly is pretty easy. Unfold the stock, push the recoil spring plate, remove the stock and open the receiver. Remove the bolt and bolt carrier. Push the front pin and split upper and lower receivers. The handguard can be detached and the bolt disassembled. Next step could be barrel removal (it is held with single anti-rotat- ing screw, so use of force is required). If there is any problem, just take a look into the man- ual where everything is explained for dummies. The manual also explains how to change the case extraction side, which can be completed in few minutes. Frankly speaking, the disassem- bly procedure is quick and simple and even with barrel detaching it will take less than minute. Why remove the barrel? Well, this way the star chamber and chamber can be cleared way easier. Those are the parts which in the AR-style rifles are pain to clean without proper equipment. The easy disassembly is crucial, because we have already found that GROT does not like dirt and will require care. If it will get dirty, it will be a mess. The friction in bolt carrier will increase and more fore will be required to charge the rifle. And possibility of jams will increase significantly. This can also lead to problem with piston disassembly as there is not much clearance. Too much dirt build-up could cause problems with its removal. Mat for DTF I know the rifle is since it was military MSBS proj- ect. I had a chance to shoot with the trial units in Fabryka Broni and during public demos. In over- all, I would rate the rifle as a pretty good one, but there are some flaws in design which should be removed if the company wants to compete with other well-established brands.
