The quality of finish is su- perb. All the parts are work- ing clean and smooth. The G10 grips are well-made, comfortable and profiled for better reach to mag- azine release lever. The checkered pattern on the grips looks pretty psyche- delic, but still great. Front and back parts of the pistol grip are serrated for better grip. The gun lacks the lan- yard loop in the bottom part and the beaver tails is more extended to the back than in legacy gun. SVRN PAC911 features lightweight skeletonized hammer and mag release, safety switch and slide re- lease mimic the ones from Colt M1911A1. Additional safety switch was placed on the right side of the frame. Slide features addi- 1100 grams and 6-incher is 1170 grams. The PAC911 design fol- lows the legacy layout of M1911A1, except a change of the front part of the slide and the re- coil spring rod. The bar- rel bushing was removed, which does not inflict on shooting but does inflict on the gun disassembly procedure. The SVRN PAC911 requires Allen key to remove the barrel (front part of spring rod must be removed). The rod itself is twice than in M1911A1 and it does not have the barrel bushing. The recoil spring assembly features four parts (two parts of guide). IMHO, the legacy "forty-five" is easier to dis- assemble. www.fragoutmag.com
