5.11 AMP12 It used to be the smallest pack from the line-up (now there is also AMP10) and it is the most basic one. All the common features shared by AMP packs and list- ed above are included here. In the back panel there is stiffened polymer insert. The dimensions of AMP12 are approx. 495 x 280 x 140 mm. 5.11 AMP24 The medium-sized all-round pack. 32 liters capacity should allow to carry stuff necessary for even a day mission and the pack is still pretty compact and handy. There are some more features in this pack. First are additional zippered side pockets on the left and right side of the main chamber. Zippers are on the back panel side. Since the side pockets are "sandwiched" between the side and the internal side pockets, the more stuff you will put inside, the less space in main compartment will be available. On the outside of the flap, just below the Gear Set at- tachment loop, there is another zippered pocket add- ed. It works perfectly for rain cover or similar items. The dimensions of AMP24 are approx. 495 x 280 x 205 mm. 5.11 AMP72 It's a big guy. Three-day, 72 hours, 40-liter pack could not be just "bigger" AMP24. There are some more features added, which could simply not be im- plemented in smaller brother. Size required re-design of the suspension system. The shoulder straps were extended and in the up- per part there are stabilizer straps added. Totally new thing is padded waist belt with side wings where zippered pockets were added. The AMP72 features simple internal frame built from two aluminum stays. On the outside, the main compartment is basically AMP24 on steroids with two side drag handles add- ed for carrying. The key change is completely new back panel which was converted to secondary com- partment for weapon storage up to 24" with muzzle sleeve and removable retention straps. Short-bar- reled AR or SMG will easly fit there. The compart- ment is zippered, but it does not have the 270-de- zippered pockets were added.
