VIS 100 is also a fully ambidex- trous pistol; it features the slide release on both right and left side of the gun. The grip backstraps are changeable (two sizes of back- straps are included in the kit). There is a front MIL-STD-1913 for weapon lights attachment. The huge leap are the iron sights, far better than the simple white painted U-shaped rear sight in MAG- 95/98 and adjustable "sport" rear sights of MAG-98C (without paint) The MAG-95/98 the front sight had a white dot too and MAG-98C had black front sight post. VIS 100 fea- tures hi-contrast iron sights with additional tritium illumination. The rear sight features Glock-style white markings and front sights has sin- gle white dot. Tritium capsules are inside the front sight dot and on the sides of rear sight. This solution Pistol was build up to the military specs from TYTAN program, were over 50 different requirements were included. During the development, FB Radom utilized feedback from WAT and end-user. Most of the sug- gested improvements, which didn't change the design of the pistol, were implemented in the final prod- uct. The VIS100 is obviously based on MAG95 and MAG98 pistols, but the parts are not interchangeable with the older weapons. The slide was re-shaped and it was simplified for easier manufacturing. The ac- cess to the internal safety was also improved. MAG pistols required to remove the rear sight which wasn't easy. In VIS100 this operation is a lot easier, the safety is accessible after firing pin removal (firing pin was rug- gedized too). The re-designed slide required to change recoil spring and slide release. www.fragoutmag.com
