SUSPENSION All AMP packs have wide and EVA foam padded shoulder straps simi- lar in shape to flattened S-letter for more comfort. On the inside they are lined with slick nylon fabric and in the neck and shoulder area there is also patch of micro-fiber very soft fabric to reduce chaffing. That's smart! There is a chest strap with buckle and the height of strap might be adjusted. The largest AMP72 have slightly different suspen- sion with additional waist belt, but it will be described below. In the bottom part of each shoulder strap there are quick-release side-squeeze buckles for emergency use, covered with stretch fabric sleeve to prevent accidental activation. The buckles can be also used to stash the shoulder straps in the back pocket for transport, e.g. in airplane overhead compartment. Bellow the connecting buckles, AMP12 and AMP24 have two plastic D-ring for to weave the strap for improvised waist belt. Those packs do not have belt in kit. The back panel is slightly profiled. There are two em- bossed pads from thick foam (there is 5.11 logo on one of them) that create some sort of ventilation tunnel for better ventilation. The back panel is cov- ered with soft-brushed moisture-wicking fabric. Between back panel and the main chamber, there is flat padded pocket with 270-degree two-way zipper. It can be used for carrying a laptop (up to 13"), hydra- tion pack or even a ballistic plate.
