The FN SCAR 20S comes with factory installed 2-stage Geissele Super SCAR match trigger with adjustable 3.5-4.5 lbs trigger pull. The standard pistol grip was replaced with more comfortable, rubber coated Hogue Overmold pistol grip for better ergonomics. The FN proprietary precision stock is fixed but adjustable. It features adjustable length (butt-pad) and height (polymer cheek piece). On the bottom it features short Picatinny rail for monopod attachment. The FN SCAR 20S comes in Flat Dark Earth color only. The commercial FN SCAR 20S comes with 20" free-floating cold-hammered chromed barrel with 1:12 bar- rel twist. The business end had effective muzzle device compatible with suppressors. The main visual difference between 17S and 20S (except the barrel length) is total of six screws used to attach the barrel. The 17S had only four screws and the attachment was less stable. Rifle comes with extended monolithic handguard made from hard-anodized aircraft grade aluminum. The full-length top Picatinny rail allows to mount powerful sniper scopes, thermal or night vision clip-ons, laser pointers or laser range finders.
