After Russians seized the Crimea in 2014, when fights between the Ukrainians
and separatists began, it appeared that Ukrainian soldiers were dramatically
poorly equipped and armed. Hasty actions were taken in order to purchase
various equipment abroad, because the deficiencies were huge. Experiences
from the conflict showed that Ukrainian military and law enforcement must
improve the equipment, but the situation was a game-changer for the local
market and numerous tactical gear and accessories companies surfaced.
Some were 1:1 replicating known designs, but some came with pretty original
solutions.
