Europe would be a different place, had it not been for Poles. I must admit that I was positively surprises because Lynn knows more about Polish history than an average Pole. He also mentioned that he had already read "With Fire and Sword" six times. It was a huge yet pleasant surprise. There was a lot of things going on at stands of companies producing multi- tools. Unfortunately, the company Victorinox has not shown anything new for years in this respect (since the launch of Spirit, which was a poor version of the SwissTool). The offer of its competitors, however, is becoming larger and larger. Leatherman presented a completely new series of multi-tools called FREE. It includes four new folding knives that are something between a classic folding knife and one half of a multi-tool (K2, K4, T2, T4) as well as two multi-tools (P2 and P4). The differences between individual models are mainly the number of tools. Knives T2 and T4 are more like a multi- tool without pliers, with a blade as one of the tools. However, models K2 and K4 are in form of a larger folding knife with a main blade and additional functions on the top. The new design, peculiar lock mechanisms and a really good price suggested by the manufacturer will make those products an interesting alternative to Swiss pocket knives. Multi-tools have a great chance to create some commotion on the market. But they are expensive. Leatherman did not refresh its old models, but the company designed something completely new. We already have had the brace clip or the replaceable wire cutting blade in other models. In this case, however, we have comprehensive handling of the multi-tool with one hand. Another player on the market of knives and multi-tools, i.e. SOG, has also been active and presented lots of novelties. Two new lines of folding knives, one a bit more expensive, but being a perfect idea for a small EDC folding knife and a cool XR Lock – Terminus XR. The second line features three small knives with a steel handle and a frame lock, at a lower price (Flash, Aegis, and Escape). As one may notice, SOG wants to reach every type of customers. An interesting product was the folding version of the legendary knife SOG SEAL PUP, i.e. the model named Seal XR which is a quite large and very tactical looking folding knife made upon request and after consultation with members of Navy SEALs. This folding knife is very convenient, comfortable, with a great stock of power. However, I can hardly imagine using it without gloves, since there is a lot of incisions on the edges, which are very unpleasant for the hand. The grip is so firm, it actually hurts (literally). There were also novelties in the range of multifunctional tools made by this company. Two years ago, SOG presented interesting multi-tools attached to a KNIFE
