P2 comes with a pocket clip and a P4 (God knows why...) with lanyard loop. It is said that P4 owners will receive (?) a pocket clip in the near future because - as to believe gossips – in first trials it was mentioned that a clip is way better than a lanyard mount. Except pliers and tools incorporated in arms (wire cutters and crimping tool) all other tools are accessible from the outside without having the whole multitool to unfold. What is more, all of them can be used (unfold, block, unblock, fold) with one hand. Earlier only Leatherman OHT had this feature, but less tools. The coolest thing is that the era of breaking your nails to get the tool from the handle is finally gone! Both new tools have magnetic locking system of the arms and tools in unfolded po- sition. At the ends of the arms there are small magnets strong enough to keep tool folded. If we want to open the multitool, we just need to use just enough more force to overpower the mag- nets and then swing it as it would be a balisong knife. That's all – multitool is open and know you just need to squeeze it a bit and the pliers are locked. The locking system is changed as well as now it is with side ledges and corresponding slots at the sides of handles and not a cam with a spring. Same magnets are holding folded tools inside the handles so to open them you need to press the trimming near its axis and overpower the magnet which is easy. Tools will come out of their slots and you will be able to choose the one you need, of course doing it one handed. There might be a problem with magnets in garage as they might catch filings of metal which might be hard to remove afterwards but we'll see. For sure, magnets will hold longer than a cam with a spring and probably until its very end it should open with the same force and resistance. Using magnets and putting all tools outside allowed design- ers to shape the inner sides of the handles probably the most comfortably ever. Edges are coved and wide, so they do not sink into your palms even when you squeeze them hard. It is import- ant as we don't always have a glove when we need to squeeze something hard and wrapping handles in material isn't a good idea. Due to way of unfolding the tools (closed handles, unfolding backwards) there is a slightly different locking system. It is ba- sically a back lock but placed inside the handle and released not with the big button from the top but with wings accessible from both sides of the handle. You can operate them pretty well with P2 comes with a pocket clip and a P4 (God knows why...) with lanyard loop.
