Serrated blade in P4 is appears to be humon- gous as it is about 2 mm thick and tanto-shaped. Thanks to that it can be more useful than previ- ously used serrated blade without frontal edge being able to cut. On the other hand, scissors are quite small as they have only 22 mm cutting edge, but they are comfortable to use. Most of the tools are standard for the Leatherman so maybe small but useful and well thought. P2 and P4 have nylon carrying pouch with metal snap and 50 mm belt loop but not MOLLE attachment. Pouch has elastic sides so the multi- tool sits well inside. They all come in new, well-de- signed boxes with that exclusive top-shelf look. Frankly, that top shelf applies also to the price tag. We are curious if new idea of Leatherman will have a fanbase and will have its market success. We'll see how those magnets will work and if they will make using the tools easier even when dirty. On the first glance it appears to be a well thought innovation as using it (of course only just for office work so far) is easy and stress-less. During incom- ing months, we will be using our new multitools whenever we will be able to and will write a full- fledged review about how those tools re practical. First impression is generally good but there is no slot for bits. To be honest, it would be better to use thinner flat head screwdriver and get rid of a Phillips one and put a bit slot instead of it. That way it is more universal than fixed screwdriver and when we take into consideration additional bits and extensions – no more words needed. Bu well , we have what we have and we have to live with it. Maybe in the future they will made a modification of P2/P4-something with bit slot? Interesting thins the small prying bar which is simultaneously large flathead screwdriver and a small blade to open packages. Looks solid (more than 3 mm thick). And can be useful. And the blade used in it looks like it will be more useful than al- ready known hook knives and, for sure, it will be easier to sharpen it. bare hands using your pointing finger and a thumb to fold the tool – we are curious how it works while wearing gloves or when the multitool and hand are dirty? We will check it out. Pliers are massive and have a new shape. They are more angular and aggressive from the look (they are similar to the arrowhead). Working part is 26 mm long with a division to a flat part (nar- row) and coved part (wide). Between them and the hinge are changeable wire cutters that are a stan- dard option used in older multitools as well. Main tools (knives, saw, scissors) are full size ones (blades are 70 mm long) but some of other tools were shortened. It can be noticed especially with a file which is at most 30 mm long and ruler that is 24 mm! The rest is generally the same as in other Leatherman tools. www.fragoutmag.com
