Some history Already in the 1930s, Nissan (back then known as Datsun) manufactured cars that can be safely considered as the first pickups. In 1936-44, it was a small car with a load bed, a weak engine with capacity of slightly over 700 cm3 and 11 HP, with a three-gear gear- box. Datsun/Nissan 620 was the next step to- wards the modern vision of a pickup. The car (like every self-respecting pickup) had bed, but also a novelty in form of the so-called KingCab, which was a cabin with four seats. The car had a much more powerful 2.2 65HP diesel engine. Nissan Navara Navara was un- veiled in 1986. The 1st generation was found to be durable, practical, and capable of driving even in the harshest conditions, thanks to four-wheel drive. The longest production of the 1st generation took place in Mexico (a country that is known for long manufacture of cars; when cars start being produced in Mexico, they already can be found in European mu- seums). Throughout the years, Navara has become larger, more comfortable, and bet- ter equipped. The changes would include engines, accessories, technology, materials, as well as design. However, the things that have been present from the very beginning and that drivers admire in this car are the 4x4 drive and the rigid frame. The latest generation of Nissan Navara was designed from scratch. The car is con- structed on a ladder frame of closed pro- files, which ensures that the load carrying element is stiffer. This pickup got new, 5-link suspension with coil springs. The engine is a French-designed 160HP or 190HP 2.3 liter diesel engin. The engine is integrated with either a 6-speed manual transmission or 7-speed automatic transmission. First look TThe latest edition, Navara N-Guard, is huge by European standards (it would be a mini pickup on the other side of the globe). Almost 5.5 meters long and over 2 meters wide. I like it!!! Nice, black 18-inch rims of aluminum alloy, roof rails, a large black grill. Generally, the first impression is positive. The car is really impressing; it is simply a small tank. Next, we open the door... The first thing one will notice are the partially leather, black seats with yellow stitching. Pretty cool. They contrast with the rest and attract the eye without making the impression of a truck. VEHICLES
