When crossing the footbridge, it feels pret- ty stable – but not as stable as a concrete bridge, obviously. Still, it is safe and easy to cross it, but we should remember not to make it shake (i.e. rock it) while crossing it. And it's equally important to warn those who are on the gangway not to march in step. The footbridge can be also employed in different types of rescue missions or in the fight against natural disasters. It doesn't have to be used strictly for military purpo- ses, which makes it an interesting piece of equipment that could be useful to the Ter- ritorial Defence Force/National Guard, who- se job is to – among others – help civilians during catastrophes and disasters. GDELS bridge systems have been used so far in Great Britain, Ireland, Sweden, Austria, and Germany. LAND FORCES
