The main proposal of the MBDA was focused on future Tempest stealth fighter armament (full-size Tempest mock-up was also dis-
played). Tempest weapon systems included Cruise Missile (Supersonic and Subsonic), Meteor GAM, HK-DAS, WVRAAM and SPEAR
and SPEAR-EW bombs.
Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land (RBSL) is German-British joint-venture between Rheinmetall and BAE Systems. The
Challenger 2 MBT upgrade package, the Life Extension Project, is RBSL proposal for British MOD. The goal of the upgrade
is to increase the survivability and to extend tank's life until 2040. Modernization could include Thales Orion tank com-
manders' panoramic sight and DGNS T3 gunners' sight, new electronics, counter-IED active-defense systems and night
vision systems. Tank is compatible with DM 11 programmable ammunition.
