mum range and the effective radius of fragmentation is
~22 meters. The weight of round is 1.37 kg. Muzzle veloc-
ity is 150 meters per second.
• RHEF-7MA (high-explosive, fragmentation, anti-person-
nel) is 73 mm round with 800 grams of explosives. The
overall weight is 4.2 kilograms and there are around 1,100
fragments launched during detonation (1-2 grams each).
Maximum range is 1,200 meters and the muzzle velocity
is 70 meters per second.
• RHE-7LDMA (long range, high-explosive, fragmentation,
anti-personnel) is extended range version of RHEF-7MA
with maximum range of 2,000 meters. It's 68 mm round,
with 2.72 kg overall weight (600 grams of explosives). Ap-
proximately 400 1-2 grams fragments are launched during
detonation. Muzzle velocity is 100 meters per second.
Rounds were launched on 1,000-1,600 meters distance
(indirect fire with SGL-7MA "artillery" sight). It is hard to
assess the precision, but it was "fair enough for indirect
fire" according to shooters. New types of rounds would
definitely increase lethality of aging RPG-7.
