As an Adaptive rifle, MRAD is fully modular and featu- res quick barrel and caliber exchange system. Barrels are attached with two Allen screws in the upper receiver. Rifle comes with gauges for testing. Currently, Barrett offers MRAD in following variants: Ä .338 Lapua Magnum (20", 24" and 26" barrels) Ä .300 Winchester Magnum (24" barrel) Ä .308 Winchester (22" barrel); Ä 6.5 Creedmoor (24" barrel) Ä .338 Norma Magnum (24" barrel) Ä .300 Norma Magnum (24" barrel) Ä .300 PRC (26" barrel) Barrels are available in fluted and heavy profiles (de- pending on the caliber and length). All comes with hi- ghly effective muzzle break. Depending on the confi- guration, the MRAD overall length will range from 806 mm (with stock folded and 20" barrel) to 1255 mm (stock unfolded and 26" barrel). Except the barrel, the bolt head and firing pin must be replaced, for caliber conversion. MRAD trigger is user-adjustable, only Allen wrench is required. Travel and reset are adjustable, and trigger pull might be adjusted from 1.65 to 2.48 lbs. Barrett MRAD rifles are currently in use in Norway (or- dered in 2013 and delivered in 2015) and Isreal (Yamam police CT unit and some units of IDF).
