Mk 22 Advanced Sniper Rifle In March 2019 USSOCOM an-
nounced that Barrett MRAD will be adopted as Advanced
Sniper Rifle and will be replacement of Remington Mk 21
Precision Sniper Rifle… winner of 2013 PSR tender lost by
MRAD!
SOCOM weapon of choice will be Barrett MRAD ASR (official
designation is now Mk 22 Advanced Sniper Rifle) with .338
Norma Magnum, .300 Norma Magnum and .308 Winchester
conversion kits.
